Carr ViaFuge Pilot Continuous Flow Tubular-bowl Ultrafuge
$75,000.00
The Carr ViaFuge® Pilot is a pilot-scale, continuous-flow tubular-bowl centrifuge designed for gentle separation and recovery of shear-sensitive biological materials, particularly mammalian and insect cell cultures. It is widely used in biopharmaceutical process development, vaccine production, cell therapy workflows, and cellular agriculture applications.
This system was manufactured in 2015 and was just used for two cGMP runs then put in storage after that. As a result, the unit is like new and comes complete to start processing. The featured system is priced at $$$ less than a comparable new system. A User’s manual is also included in the purchase.
Typical Applications
Harvesting CHO, Vero, MRC-5, SF9, and other mammalian cell cultures
Insect cell processing
Vaccine manufacturing
Media exchange and cell washing
Cell therapy manufacturing
Cellular agriculture
Recovery of flocculated proteins and DNA-containing solutions
Advantages Compared with Conventional Disc-Stack Centrifuges
Much gentler handling of fragile cells
Higher viable-cell recovery
Smaller footprint
Lower capital cost for pilot-scale work
Easier process development and scale-up to production systems
