The Myers Vacuum PILOT-15 Centrifugal Molecular Distillation System includes all pumping, heating, vacuum-generating and control equipment required for operation.  The small amount of floor space occupied by the unit helps make the PILOT-15 a very attractive system.  The control center features an easy-to-follow system schematic.  The system is designed for throughputs between 10 and 80 lb/hr (4.5 to 36 kg/hr.), depending on feed characteristics.

The PILOT-15 is designed to continuously distill thermally sensitive organic and silicone compounds in the molecular weight range of 150 to 400 AMU at vacuum pressures from 1 to 700 x 10-3 Torr.  Some examples of system application include fatty acid amides, dimer acids, epoxy resins, drying oils, monoesters, di-octyl phthalate, Vitamin A and tocopherols (Vitamin E).

This system is in very nice condition and has been upgraded to improve performance.  Upgrades include additional seals; replacement of the LN2 glass traps with stainless steel traps; and modification of the distiller stirrer motor.  The system has seen minimal usage at a cGMP facility in Poland and is available for on-site inspection.

Purchase and upgrades bring the equipment investment to around $180K and it is being offered at $79.5K.
