The Thermo Scientific Megafuge ST4R Plus-MD centrifuge combines exceptional capacity, ergonomics, and value with market-leading capabilities including unparalleled productivity and throughput, as well as exceptional ergonomics.
The Megafuge ST4R does it all including clinical protocols, cell culture applications, microplate processing and many other industrial applications. Since it is refrigerated, it is designed to handle temperature–sensitive samples between -10°C and +40°C. The centrifuge comes with both a TX-750 rotor and TX-1000 rotor for a wide capability of sample processing. Many rotor accessories are also included for processing samples from 15 ml tubes, 50 mL tubes, 250 mL tubes, microplates, etc. Check out the pictures for the adaptors that come with the two rotors. It also comes with a state-of-the-art floor standing cart option which allows for great mobility. The white stain-resistant sturdy cart that is included has lock-down heavy-duty wheels, adjustable screw-based stabilizers, and a handy drawer for storing supplies.
This centrifuge was manufactured in Yr 2020 and has seen little usage since new. As a result, the centrifuge and two rotors (plus accessories) are in premium condition. It is priced at about 60% the cost of a new system with similar options and comes with a 60-day warranty.
